Started as a very shy and nervous mom cat that had a litter of 5 on the streets. Once rescued she was left with only 2 surviving kittens that we took in. The very first night we knew that they had some issues that required more serious attention than a foster home can provide. After rejecting bottle feeding we contacted a foster that is also a vet and drove the 2 kittens to her. Unfortunately, the next day one of the kittens passed. The remaining kitten was doing well and seemed healthy but in the end she had passed also. These tragedies could be avoided thru spay programs so please be sure to bring awareness to others and encourage them to volunteer or donate to a cause that can help control the animal population.
After this tragedy we were able to focus on Muffin. She would hide a lot and be very nervous around people. Building trust thru food, slow blinking eye contact, soft voices and slow smooth movements she started to be more relaxed and would not hide as soon as you entered the room. Over time she started to be out in the open more and eventually she would greet us at the door. She bloomed into a great playful cat and I think her really petite size makes her even cuter. She will meow if left alone and she hears you outside the door. Once you come in, she will be all at your feet wanting to be petted and entertained with wand toys and feathers. Her playfulness and desire for attention will make someone very happy at home.
